Gireumsem Two cars, one year of fuel side by side

한국어

The car you drive now and the car you are thinking of buying. How far apart is a year of fuel?

Pick two cars, say how far you drive in a year, and the two yearly fuel bills sit side by side with the gap between them. We do not fetch fuel prices. Type in the price you actually pay.

Built from 4203 rows of the Korea Energy Agency fuel economy file, grouped by name into 3522 entries. If a car is not in the file, we say so. Korea Energy Agency vehicle fuel economy data on data.go.kr (checked 2026-09-08)

km

The default of 15,000km is a round number we put there. Type your real distance and it recounts.

Fill it from your commute

Counted over 48 weeks a year. Holidays and weekend driving are not included.

Fuel and price

The fuel economy file has no column for fuel type. So you choose the fuel.

Every price here is a round number we put in. It is not today's price, so replace it with one you know.

Which figure should we use

You can choose whenever all three are in the file. Figures the file does not have cannot be selected.

Fuel in a year

Pick both cars and the yearly fuel cost appears here.

Browse by maker

69 makers appear in the file. Start here if the model name will not come to you.

What this site does not do

It does not fetch fuel prices. The price on screen is either what you typed or a round number we put there, and it is not today's price. Look up the price you pay and type it in.

It does not count anything but fuel. Insurance, road tax, servicing and depreciation are not in this data, so they are not counted. The number here is fuel only.

It does not sell cars or point you at listings. There are no adverts for vehicles here, no market prices, and no advice on which car to buy. Two numbers sit next to each other, that is all.

The sticker figure is not the figure you will get. It comes from a fixed laboratory test, so driving style, load, weather and traffic all move it. The guide explains the gap.
